We had a wonderful meeting of our IAMCP Chapter yesterday . The topic was “Deep Dive into Microsoft CRM “ and it covered all the 3 modules of CRM – Marketing, Services, Sales.
The Conference room was overloaded with about 25 people (including speakers) . We had 7 partners who joined via LIVE meeting making it one of the most well attended meeting .
The meeting started at 4 pm sharp with a short 15 minute introduction to IAMCP by yours truly . Then we started with the CRM demo using Virtual PC . The speakers Vikram Sardana and Anuja Shukla covered all the 3 modules going through the Data Entry, reports , processes, customization, etc. The demo ended at 8:15 pm followed by 15 minutes of discussions .
Partners discussed how to take this initiative forward. A few thoughts emerged:
1) Partners will implement CRM in house with help of CRM partner and then start offering this as a Solution.
2) Partners can right away become CRM partners and get trained.
3) Partners can become Sales Partners and align with Implementation Partners to offer the Solution to their Customers.
I will have to discuss this with Microsoft and also the interested partners so that we take this unique initiative to its logical conclusion. The objective is a) Partners to implement CRM internally b) Partners to start CRM practice.
Let’s see how it goes. But one thing is for sure . Partners are beginning to see true value in being part of IAMCP .
