IAMCP India west kickoff

Greetings !

On 29th August 2008, we had our very first meeting of the IAMCP India West Chapter . There are 3 chapters of IAMCP (www.iamcp.org) which have started about 2 months back in India. The west chapter was the first to have

its meeting. So in effect , the August 29 meeting was effectively the first meeting IAMCP India !

The meeting was held in "The Larch"  Conference room of Microsoft India Office in Mumbai. The agenda of the meeting was:

Agenda:

4:00 pm – 4.15 pm:          Registration

4:15 pm – 4:30 pm:          Welcome address by Microsoft

4:30 pm – 5:00 pm:          Member Presentations

5:00 pm – 5:30 pm:          Introduction to IAMCP

5:30 pm – 5:45 pm:          Q&A, Next Steps

5:45 pm – 6:30 pm:          Coffee & Networking

The meeting began at 4:15 pm sharp. This itself set the IAMCP apart since most of the meetings invariably start at least one hour after the scheduled time. First the welcome address was given by Mr. S. Balaji, Director , Sales, Microsoft India. He explained the relationship between IAMCP and Microsoft and how it was becoming increasingly important for Microsoft to have successful Communities like IAMCP.

Next was an innovative agenda where the IAMCP members had to do  a presentation about their Companies in 60 seconds ! The Companies which did the Presentation were:

PC Centre, Xpress Computers , P.H. Teknow & Techgyan.

This was followed by an introduction to IAMCP which was done by yours truly ! This lasted for 30 minutes after which we had a lively Q & A  which ended at 5:45 pm. Then came  High Tea where the members and the non members did some serious networking .

In all , 15 Companies came for the meeting . Of these , 4 were IAMCP members and 11 were partners who wanted to know about more IAMCP  .

We did click a few pictures of the event .  Please checkout the album named "IAMCP India west kickoff "  for the pictures of the event ! You will find this album listed on my blogspace . I am quite hopeful, that IAMCP India west will become one of the most successful chapters and will positively contribute to the partners.

with warm regards
